High volume, high acuity:​​

 

Our residents are trained at two of the busiest hospitals in the state of Nevada. Sunrise Hospital is located a few blocks from the Strip and serves as one of two major trauma centers in Las Vegas. Residents rotate here in the Emergency Department, as a valued member of the Trauma team and in the dedicated Pediatric Emergency Department. Our home base is Mountain View Hospital, which has an 81-bed Emergency Department and has no shortage of critically ill patients. Between our two hospitals, we care for over 240,000 patients per year. Our residents lead resuscitations every shift and often do multiple procedures each day. Interns typically exceed graduation procedure requirements in their first few months.
